Oksana is the biological mother of Vice Regent Ahmad. After being torn away from her husband and son, believing they were both dead, Oksana was sold to a brothel on the outskirts of the Mongolian Empire under the rule of Kublai Khan. Neither she nor Ahmad knew the other was still alive.
Lullaby[]
Oksana appears only in flashback Season 2 Episode 5 Lullaby. In his early days as a tax collector, Ahmad meets Oksana at a brothel, neither of the two knowing that they are biological mother and son. After sleeping together, Oksana hums a lullaby from Ahmad's childhood, which he recognizes as the lullaby his mother used to sing to him. When Oksana is asked by Ahmad where she learned this tune, she replies that she wrote it herself for her son. Ahmad realizes that Oksana, the woman he had just had sex with, is his biological mother, leading him to strangle her to death.
